The word wealth is derived from the old English wela, which is from an Indo-European word stem. An individual, community, region or country that possesses an abundance of such possessions or resources is known as wealthy. The concept of wealth is of significance in all areas of economics, especially development economics, yet the meaning of wealth is context-dependent and there is no universally agreed upon definition. Various definitions and concepts of wealth have been asserted by various individuals and in different contexts. Defining wealth can be a normative process with various ethical implications, since often wealth maximization is seen as a goal or is thought to be a normative principle of its own. Although precise data is not available, the total household wealth in the world has been estimated at $125 trillion in year 2000. 90% of this wealth is held by people in North America, Europe, and high-income Asian countries, and 1% of adults are estimated to hold 40% of world wealth, a number which falls to 32% when adjusted for purchasing power parity. Is there a method or some kind of reference to help "calculate" that? After knowing where my wealth area is, how should I "activate" it? Thank you in advance for your help! This is more complicated that you can imagine and to date I have not found any website that explains the system well enough. One of the first things I can advise is that a wealth area for a bedroom is not recommended as it creates conflict with other needs and requirements and therefre becomes almost impossible to create. A main room is a good place and the basics are 1.To avoid situating the wealth area along the walls adjioning the entry doorway. 2. Do not use the walls that allow light in but utilise those that the sun shines on to. 3. Keep the area clutter free. 4. Use neutral and natural colours 5. Keep electrical useage within the area to a minimum. 6 . Q. Why do some countries have an abundance of wealth and riches while others have remained poor for most of their history? Asked by LOST - Mon Feb 2 20:16:51 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. All countries have been poor by today's standards for most of their history and only in the last 100 years or so have any been rich. Countries got rich because they industrialized which make workers more productive and the poor countries have not industrialized yet but many previously poor countries are doing so now and their economies growing rapidly and soon will be rich. One of the things that is still holding some countries back is their population is growing faster than their economy and they are caught in what economist call the Malthusian Trap. Some economist think that the reason it took so long for the Industrial revolution to happen is because Europe was also until the black death reduce the population by 1/3, Answered by meg - Mon Feb 2 20:52:13 2009 From Yahoo Answer Search: "wealth" Quotes about wealth.
