How Women Are Thriving in Trump’s Economy

Liberals are always talking about protecting and looking out for the interests of minorities. But when you look at the actual results of their policies, you’d think they were trying to wipe the groups they say they want to protect off the face of the Earth. In nearly all of the major cities of the US, liberals are in charge, and in those cities — gun crime is off the charts, poverty is out of control, and homelessness is growing.

Black Americans are doing better in Trump’s economy than ever before. We also know that illegal immigrants stopped at the border are treated to a stay in well-furnished facilities which Democrats refer to as cages. But there’s one demographic we haven’t looked at, one that works as a metric of economic health and freedom everywhere it is measured — the economic wellbeing of women.

Recently, Ivanka Trump went on CNBC’s “The Closing Bell.” There, she explained to the hosts that women are also doing better than ever before in Trump’s economy. She said, “Women are thriving in the Trump economy and our track record, and the record of success, backs that up.”

Taking a quick look at the stats, she’s not wrong. The fact is that 72% of the jobs created since Donald Trump became president went to women. Ivanka herself has taken the lead in promoting paid family leave and childcare for working parents. These have always been issues that liberals lead with on the stump. But when it comes to running the country, they leave their campaign promises at the door.

One of the major important differences between President Trump and other politicians in his own party is that he is fervently anti-war. He has authorized concentrated strikes which have killed key enemies of the US. But he has never signed off on mass invasions, and he has never started a lasting conflict. This is why the establishment hates him. But another important difference between Trump and his opponents is when he promises to help a particular demographic, he actually does it.

“We backed policies that not only create the growth that enables that type of economic opportunity, but also recognize the complexity of being a woman by supporting high-quality childcare for parents who are working and can’t afford it,” Ivanka added.

This brings us to the topic of the so-called wage gap. Liberals have backed off on this lately because they realize they’ve lost the argument. But the roughly 27-cent-on-the-dollar wage difference between men and women is due to the fact that women give birth to children and tend to make different career choices. It is not because companies don’t want female workers. With all the unnatural incentives to hire women in place, the opposite is true.

On the topic of parenting, Ivanka said, “That is an undeniable work-related expense, and our budget – and not only our budget – we got it passed through Congress the largest-ever expansion of the childcare and development block grants, which is money that we sent to the states to help offset the cost of childcare.”

Promises made, promises kept.
